SameNight exists so going out alone never feels unsafe. Everyone in a lobby has proven they'll be in the same room on the same night — these rules keep that room worth walking into.
Real profiles only. No impersonation, no fake attendance claims, no accounts run for someone else. Verification is the trust everyone else relies on — don't game it.
SameNight is strictly for adults. Signals that a user is underage lead to immediate suspension and removal. Don't help anyone underage use the platform.
Every mode is opt-in, per event. Someone in Friends mode didn't sign up for romantic attention; someone who didn't opt into visibility didn't sign up to be found. Respect the mode people chose — repeatedly pushing past it is harassment.
Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual exploitation, doxxing, or contacting someone after they've said stop — any of these can end your account on the first offense. Physical-safety threats are reviewed within hours and are escalated to authorities when warranted.
No promotion, ticket scalping or resale, recruiting to other platforms, or commercial outreach in lobbies, chats, or crews. Rate limits back this up automatically.
Never share ticket QR codes or barcodes — not in proofs (cover them; we never store or scan codes), not in chats, not in crew plans. Don't ask others for theirs.
First meets happen in public areas of the venue — the merch stand, the bar, the entrance line. Tell a friend where you'll be. You never owe anyone your exact whereabouts; the app will never share them because it doesn't have them.
All of these are free, forever.
Automation only triages — every enforcement decision (warning, content removal, suspension, ban) is made by a human. The most serious reports are handled within 4 hours, harassment within 24, everything else within 72. Reporters get an acknowledgment and a resolution notice; the action taken stays confidential. If we get it wrong, every enforcement notice includes an appeal path, and appeals are reviewed by a different moderator.
